Welcome to our September round-up
Welcome to Unique IQ’s September Newsletter. September has been one of our busiest months of the year, and it’s been a good one. Two releases we’ve been building towards all summer are now in your hands: IQ:capture, our AI care transcription tool, and whole care day auditing in IQ:careaudit. Both came from the same place, conversations with care teams about where their time really goes and what would help them most.
We’ve also been out on the road, starting show season at the Sussex Care Showcase in Brighton, and we’re now counting down to Care Show Birmingham in October, where we’ll be giving a first look at two new AI features.
Here’s everything you need to know from the month, and a glimpse of what’s coming next.
IQ:capture is live
Over the summer we told you IQ:capture was close. We’re pleased to say it’s now live.
IQ:capture is our AI care transcription tool. It records assessments, care plan reviews, supervisions and handovers, then turns the conversation into a clear, structured summary. Your team can stay focused on the person in front of them rather than on a notepad, and the notes are ready to use as soon as the conversation ends. If you use IQ:careassist, those summaries flow straight into your care planning.

IQ:careaudit now checks the whole care day
The IQ:careaudit upgrade we’ve been talking about is now here.
IQ:careaudit already reads every visit note and medication record as it’s entered, flagging risks as they appear. That hasn’t changed. What’s new is day audit, which checks the care that was delivered against each person’s own care plan and shows you where the two don’t match.
Day audit reviews the previous day across your whole client base, running more than 40 rules and signals, and gives your managers a prioritised list each morning. It highlights care that has drifted from the plan, reviews and key dates that are coming up or overdue, concerns in the notes, and early signs of carer strain. Nothing is closed automatically; every finding is picked up and closed by a person, with a reason.

Show season is underway
Earlier this month, Emma and Matt from our team headed down to Brighton Racecourse for the Sussex Care Showcase on 16th September. Organised by East Sussex Partners in Care, this year’s theme was “Meeting the Changing Times”, which felt very fitting given the pressures so many providers are managing right now, from a stretched workforce to tighter compliance expectations.
It was a great chance to catch up with care teams from across the South East and show IQ:capture, the latest IQ:careassist upgrade and IQ:careaudit’s new day audit in person. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand for a chat, and to East Sussex Partners in Care for organising such a well-run day.

Next up is Care Show Birmingham on 7th and 8th October. You’ll find us on Stand N46 in NEC Hall 3, where the team will be showing our complete care management platform as well as our AI features: IQ:capture, IQ:careaudit and IQ:careassist.
We’ll also be giving visitors a sneak peek at two new AI features coming soon. The first is our intelligent AI scheduling agent, built to take more of the pressure off the people who plan your rotas. The second is IQ:careassure, our new AI-powered CQC inspection readiness tool, designed to help you stay confident and ready for inspection every day, not just when a visit is announced. If you’d like an early look at either, come and find us on the stand.

Looking ahead
October is shaping up to be a big month. The Leaders in Care Awards ceremony takes place on 6th October, where we’re a finalist for Supplier of the Year (Home Care), followed by Care Show Birmingham on 7th and 8th October, where we’ll be sharing a first look at our AI scheduling agent and IQ:careassure. Keep an eye out for more on both very soon.
