The Unique IQ team is looking forward to celebrating alongside Greater Birmingham’s business community next month at the region’s biggest online awards extravaganza.

The Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce awards will be taking place in a new online format on 23rd July – with Unique IQ finalists in the Excellence in Technology & Innovation category.

Sponsored by METCloud, the ‘Excellence in Technology & Innovation’ award recognises businesses that have achieved considerable growth whilst breaking new ground in their respective sectors.

Since receiving investment from venture capital firm Midven in November 2018, Redditch-based technology company Unique IQ has enjoyed considerable growth, significantly expanding its development, customer support and marketing/sales teams and launching major new features in its software for home care agencies, supporting them to deliver outstanding care.

The nomination follows on from a high-profile win at this year’s Home Care Awards, where the company’s care management solution won ‘Best Technology, Data or Software Product‘.

David Lynes, Managing Director of Unique IQ said of the Chamber of Commerce awards nomination: “I’m extremely proud of the team for achieving this recognition for our technology. Our innovation is driven by a desire to help home care organisations support some of the most vulnerable society, so it means a lot when the wider business community sits up and takes notice of that.

“I’m looking forward to celebrating with the rest of the team, albeit it from the comfort of our own homes!”

The glittering black-tie awards dinner was due to take place in central Birmingham on 19th March with 1,400 people in attendance. However, as a result of the rapidly developing coronavirus situation at the time, it was decided to postpone the event in the interests of safety.

82 hopeful businesses have been nominated across 12 categories, recognising the finest in Midlands industry. The online awards bonanza will start at 7pm, with a welcome from compere and Heart FM drive time presenter, Ed James. It is free to attend, with tickets available here.
