Care software firm becomes bronze sponsor

We are proud to announce that Unique IQ is joining The Care Workers’ Charity (CWC) as a bronze-level sponsor. Our support will help widen the reach of the CWC and will ensure more care workers in need can receive support.

CEO & Founder of Unique IQ, David Lynes, said: “There is sadly a very real need for the financial support The Care Workers’ Charity offers to care workers right now. We hear about this almost daily through our work as a software provider to care organisations, so joining forces with The Care Workers’ Charity gives us an opportunity to support the frontline of care.”

David has previously supported The Care Workers’ Charity personally by cycling solo some 800km from the Scottish Highlands to Salisbury in just 48 hours, raising over £2,000 for the charity.

Karolina Gerlich, CEO of The Care Workers’ Charity said: “We are very grateful that Unique IQ has decided to support the CWC on a formal basis by becoming a sponsor. By supporting us in this way, Unique IQ is supporting the social care workforce and showing their admiration of the amazing work achieved in social care.”

David continued: “While it doesn’t fix the problems that are causing hardship for care workers, kudos has to go to Karolina and The Care Workers’ Charity for stepping in so valiantly to try to fill the gap.

“The work that the charity is doing aligns really well with our ethos and values here at Unique IQ, so we were glad to be approached by The Care Workers’ Charity to put our support onto a more formal footing.”

The Care Workers’ Charity is a national charity that supports people working in social care in the UK with financial and mental health support. It acts as a safety net for care workers and their families who are struggling and might not have the means to support themselves.

Working in social care is a rewarding role, however it comes with its challenges.

A grant of £500 for means a care worker can continue to heat their house over winter, or repair their car to ensure they can get to work. Or it could pay for a month of tailored mental health therapy to help them process chronic stress and trauma.
