Unique IQ is proud to support the Home Care Awards 2021 – the benchmark for business and service excellence in the UK home care, domiciliary care and live-in care sectors.

With 17 categories in contention, the Home Care Awards teases out brilliant examples of home care services and operations, gives them due recognition, then celebrates their success with a memorable awards occasion.

The 2021 awards took place on 23rd April at an online event, hosted by “voice of the balls” and Strictly Come Dancing host Alan Dedicoat.

There were two overall gold award winners on the day:

  • Martin Jones, CEO of Home Instead UK – won ‘Outstanding Individual’ for making a “significant contribution” to the welfare of older people whilst championing home care as a care option and a meaningful career
  • Ashridge Home Care – named ‘Most Outstanding Care Provider’, impressing the judging panel with its “extraordinary response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Home Instead UK also took home ‘Best Home Care Group/Franchise’, with Bluebird Care receiving a high commendation in this category. Other winners included The Good Care Group for both ‘Innovative Technology Expertise’ and ‘Best Independent Home Care Provider’, along with BelleVie who were named ‘Best Start-up Home Care Service’. A home care software provider and past Home Care Awards winner, Unique IQ sponsored the category award for ‘Best home care group or franchise network‘, with CEO and Founder David Lynes forming part of the judging panel.

David Lynes, said: “It’s a privilege to support the Home Care Awards. In such an exceptional year, we have seen domiciliary care providers placed under extreme pressures due to the coronavirus pandemic. And yet without faltering, they have continued to strive to offer outstanding levels of care to those who need it, helping people to stay independent and well within their homes, whilst keeping spirits up.

“It is an honour to celebrate these amazing and very well-deserving carers,” concluded Lynes.
