The Unique IQ team has added a sixth nomination to its catalogue of awards this autumn, having been shortlisted for ‘Small Tech Company of the Year’ in the Silicon Canal: Tech Awards.

Launched four years ago, the Silicon Canal: Tech Awards highlight the very best of Birmingham’s tech community. Unique IQ has been selected amongst three other finalists for continually making an impact through bold and innovative ideas and technologies.

The Redditch-based technology company develops software solutions that tackle the pain points inherent in managing remote and mobile workforces. Specialising in the domiciliary care, contract cleaning and facilities management industries, Unique IQ’s technology gives businesses a real-time overview of their remote workforces and makes it easy for field workers to access the information they need to fulfil their roles.

Unique IQ’s nomination comes hot off the heels of winning ‘Business of the Year’ at the 2019 Birmingham Awards, and securing a finalist position for Innovation in Technology at the prestigious LaingBuisson Awards – the Oscars of the health and social care industry.

Managing Director, David Lynes, said: “Being recognised by our peers within the Birmingham tech community means a lot to us. It’s wonderful for our developers to be recognised for all the hard work that they put in.

“As a technology firm, we are continually aiming to innovate, to find new ways of making the daily lives of remote workers easier. Over the past year, we’ve developed our products significantly, particularly for home care organisations, to help them go paperless, increase efficiency and ultimately deliver better care to the people that need it.”

The Unique IQ team wishes its fellow shortlisted organisations – School of Code, Conigital Group and Wealth Wizards – the very best of luck on the night. The Silicon Canal: Tech Awards will be held on Thursday 28th November at Birmingham’s Bierkellar.
