Digital transformation is going to be one of the four key conference themes at Health + Care at the end of April. Among the 40 hours of CPD-accredited education and training on offer at the show, the technology theatre will focus on how the care sector can benefit from digital transformation and how to efficiently use data to improve care services, among other topics.

One of the talks I’m really looking forward to is the next meeting of the Data Café, which in this edition will discuss ‘how do you use data to free up more time?’. The Data Café is co-hosted by our friends at InvictIQ, Digital Social Care, the Institute of Health and Social Care Management and Casson Consulting. It’s an informal, safe space for people in social care to talk about data, share knowledge, ask questions and learn from each other. The Data Café will take place on the Thursday (27th April) at 13:45.

Also of interest is the big topic on day 1 of Health + Care in the technology theatre: ‘What needs to happen to deliver on the vision of data sharing between adult social care and health?’. Chaired by Tommy Henderson-Reay, a social worker and vice-chair (social care) for the British Computer Society, the session will explore how true integration can be fuelled by data, in the context of Integrated Care Systems and their goal of improving joined up care. Tommy will be joined by Harpreet Shergill – Digital Health & Care Lead (London Region) at NHS England, Joanna Scammell – Managing Director of Community Integrated Care and transformation consultant Daniel Casson. Join the conversation on Wednesday 26th April at 11:45.

I’m sure there will be lots to learn and new ideas to feel inspired by at Health + Care. With the focus on technology ever more important as we progress towards the government’s target of having 80% of CQC registered providers making use of a digital social care record by March 2024.

Unique IQ will be attending Health + Care on 26th and 27th April and it’s a great opportunity to get to know our team a bit better. You can meet Lee (Sales Director) – our solution-finder and podcaster, Ellie (Customer Success Manager) – our customer champion and implementer and me (David) – Unique IQ’s CEO & Founder.

If you’re already one of our caring partners, we would love you to drop by at the exhibition if you’re going to be there.

If on the other hand your care business is taking its first steps towards digitising, or if you are looking to change things up, we’re here to help you drive innovation, improve efficiency and enhance your service delivery with our award-winning software. Come find us on stand D62.

Don’t miss! One other thing I’m really looking forward to – the LIVE season finale of the Care to talk? podcast featuring Unique IQ’s own Sales Director, Lee Trueman. Care to talk? is the podcast to help leaders in the care sector look after their own mental health and the people they manage. Lee and Marc plus special guests will be going live on Wednesday 26th April at 10am, talking about practical approaches to supporting a care team’s wellbeing. There’s guaranteed to be some ideas you can takeaway and implement in your care business right away.
