If you’re exploring home care software at the Care Show Birmingham this year, we’d love to meet you on Stand N46 at the NEC on 7th and 8th October.

Before you visit, we thought you’d like to know a little more about the people you’ll be chatting to. Software is only as good as the people behind it, and ours all have one thing in common: they genuinely care about care.

The people behind our home care software

David Lynes, CEO and Founder

David Lynes

David founded Unique IQ in 2006 and has led its journey from a workforce management tool into a complete home care management platform, now with an award-winning AI Suite built in. When he first started working with home care providers, he quickly realised this was about far more than software. Carers do extraordinary work, often under real pressure, to help people stay safe and independent in their own homes, and that’s why he’s so passionate about building technology that gives carers more time for care. Away from work, he’s a keen cyclist who has represented Great Britain at the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.

Chat to David about: where AI in care is heading, and how to make it work in the real world.

Cheryl Guest, Chief Operating Officer

Cheryl Guest COO of Unique IQ

Cheryl oversees the day-to-day running of Unique IQ, bringing together the commercial, operations, marketing and people functions so the business delivers for every care provider it works with. With more than 20 years’ experience in the technology sector, she’s a passionate advocate for women in tech and believes care touches almost every family at some point. Making providers’ and carers’ working lives easier is what gets her out of bed in the morning. Away from work, she’s usually lacing up her trainers for her next running goal.

Chat to Cheryl about: how we partner with providers for the long term.

Matt Spalding, Business Development Manager

Matt Spalding Business Development Manager at Unique IQ

Matt brings nearly 20 years in customer-facing and business development roles to Unique IQ, including time in the employee benefits and wellbeing sector helping organisations look after their people. He knows how important it is for carers to feel supported, and loves helping providers find a system that genuinely takes the pressure off their teams. Outside of work, he’s passionate about the Memusi Foundation, a charity that helps provide education to children in remote Kenya.

Chat to Matt about: whether our home care software is the right fit for your service, and seeing the platform in action.

Jack Woodhall, Customer Success Manager

Jack Woodhall

Jack supports care providers from their very first conversation with us through to implementation and beyond, helping them find the right fit and get real value from their system long after go-live. With family and friends working in the care sector, he’s heard first-hand how much time the right technology can save, giving carers more time to dedicate to hands-on care. That’s why he takes such pride in seeing a team move away from paperwork. Away from work, he plays bass guitar and has a serious weakness for sweets, so you may want to keep an eye on the stand’s sweet supply!

Chat to Jack about: finding the right system for your service, what switching really looks like, and how we support you through it.

Emma Cooper, Brand and Content Marketing Manager

Emma Cooper

Emma leads brand and content at Unique IQ, shaping how we share our story with the care sector. From campaigns and case studies to events like the Care Show, she makes sure care providers can see the real difference our technology makes to their teams and the people they support. Care is personal for her: her nan received home care before moving into a care home, and the carers who looked after her were her lifeline. Her nan loved being able to stay in her own home for as long as she did, and that experience gives everything Emma does at Unique IQ a personal edge.

Chat to Emma about: our latest content, case studies and how to stay in the loop.

See our AI Suite in action

As well as meeting the team, you’ll be able to see our award-winning AI Suite up close. Built to take on the admin that eats into care time, each tool is designed around the way care teams really work.

  • IQ:capture records and transcribes assessments, reviews and handovers, turning conversations into clear, structured summaries. It works as a standalone tool, so you don’t need to be an existing Unique IQ customer to use it.
  • IQ:careassist co-authors care plans with you, feeding in what’s been captured and shaping plans in your own style. Plans can be written in the first or third person, with the tone set section by section, your organisation’s guidance applied in plain English and every version tracked.
  • IQ:careaudit keeps a watchful eye on care records, reading notes and flagging risks in real time. Its new whole-day audit checks the care delivered against each person’s care plan, giving you a clear report every morning of anything missed the previous day.

Plus a sneak peek at what’s coming next

Be among the first to see IQ:careassure, our new CQC inspection-readiness tool launching this October, designed to help you feel confident and prepared whenever inspectors call.

You’ll also get an exclusive first look at our new intelligent AI scheduling tool, built to take the hard work out of planning visits and help you get the right carer to the right person at the right time.

Chat to David or any of the team about: how AI can save your team time, and what it could look like in your service.
