We’ve welcomed three new members into the team over the past month.
James Neal has joined us in the role of Head of Technology to lead our engineering function and the ongoing development of our software.
Martin Herlihy is our new Business Analyst, responsible for analysing customer requirements and matching them to our technology roadmap.
And Stuart Moody has joined our Quality Assurance team as a Senior Test Analyst, focussed on ensuring our software is of a consistently high quality for our customers.
Let’s meet them.
James Neal – Head of Technology
“I’m excited to join Unique IQ as Head of Technology. My role involves managing the overall engineering team, ensuring our ongoing development runs smoothly and leading on system architecture and design decisions, in collaboration with David, Ben and the rest of the team.
My background is as a full stack developer with 10 years’ experience within the mortgage and energy sector, where I led teams to deliver products into new markets and re-architect existing products to improve performance and usability. I still like to roll my sleeves up and get stuck in with some hands on coding!
My first month here at Unique IQ has been really busy! I’ve been absorbing lots of new information, learning how care providers operate and what’s critical to their businesses. It’s also been really great getting to work alongside such a hardworking and dedicated team.
Away from my computer I love being outside, cycling, hiking and going on walks with my partner. I’m often involved in a challenge – such as the Three Peaks and 24 Hours of Le Mans – and I’m currently working towards a 100 mile cycle ride.”
Martin Herlihy – Business Analyst
“My role here at Unique IQ is Business Analyst. I love challenges and solving problems – if I don’t know something I have to go away and find out about it and how it works. Prior to Unique IQ, I spent the last 30+ years in Financial Services, the majority of which as a business analyst or delivery manager for software solutions.
I have really enjoyed my first few weeks at Unique IQ. I have already met some of our fabulous clients and the entire team definitely lives to meet the care industry and carers needs through the delivery of fantastic software solutions. Everyone has been so welcoming.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family and making special memories for my two (now older) children. I am a season ticket holder for Aston Villa where I go with my son and father-in-law. Family holidays are also a must, usually somewhere sunny when COVID is not around to spoil it!”
Stuart Moody – Senior Test Analyst
“I am a Senior Test Analyst, focussed on mitigating risk on legacy and new products, in order to assist the team in producing software of a consistent high quality to our customers.
I have been a software tester for 10 years, with my previous role being in the gaming sector. I have picked up a variety of experience as well as gaining useful qualifications in many aspects of Quality Assurance along the way. This will certainly assist my progress here at Unique IQ.
The first few weeks in my new role have been really enjoyable, everybody has been very friendly. Working in such a rewarding sector is certainly a bonus, and I am looking forward to future challenges here at Unique IQ.
Outside of work, family time is very important to me. My son is currently into gymnastics, karate and swimming – so the Dad taxi is always busy! I also enjoy swimming, playing golf and watching a variety of sports.”
